Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks to transport soil, rock, sand, and construction debris to designated sites.
- Secure loads properly to ensure safety and prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report mechanical issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery times and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving dump trucks or heavy haul vehicles.
- Current Medical Certificate and DOT Drug Screen clearance.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and mechanical adjustments.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Physically fit to handle loading, unloading, and operating controls for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
