Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles to deliver cargo safely and efficiently to designated routes in and around Tucson, AZ.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT compliant) and manage delivery documentation accurately.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of geographic areas in Tucson and surrounding regions.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
