Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and freight vehicles on designated routes throughout New York and the tri-state area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight distribution and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers regarding schedules, delays, and route changes.
- Uphold a professional image and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting purposes.
