Responsibilities
- Operate heavy dump trucks to transport soil, rock, gravel, asphalt, or other construction materials to and from job sites.
- Load and unload materials safely using excavators, skid steers, or forklifts.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and truck bed, adhering to company hygiene protocols.
- Navigate construction sites and highways efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and crew members to coordinate logistics.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience driving dump trucks or heavy haul vehicles.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery for loading/unloading.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations (OSHA) and traffic laws.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and standing for long periods.
