Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, legal, and professional manner, adhering to all FMCSA regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle and cargo safety.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Load and unload freight efficiently while ensuring cargo security and proper handling.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely delivery and route changes.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
- Fulfill all company policies regarding safety and compliance.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and pass a DOT physical exam.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Willingness to work varying shifts and adhere to a 70-hour/8-day HOS limit.
