Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local and regional deliveries in the Houston metropolitan area
- Manage route optimization to meet tight delivery deadlines while ensuring cargo security
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging compliance
- Coordinate directly with warehouse teams and clients for seamless loading/unloading operations
- Perform daily pre/post-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route changes and delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable box truck driving experience
- Proof of commercial insurance (liability and cargo coverage)
- Reliable box truck (26ft-32ft) with current registration and inspection
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and delivery tracking systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally for loading assistance
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
