Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, and aggregates to job sites
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections ensuring compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation of materials transported
- Coordinate with site supervisors for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and defensive driving practices
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
- Support team members in meeting daily delivery schedules and project deadlines
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years' experience operating dump trucks or heavy haul equipment
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Familiarity with Houston metro area routes and construction zones
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance standards
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for on-road repairs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical job site tasks
