Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes in Honolulu
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Supervise student boarding/alighting with strict safety protocols
- Manage student behavior according to district policies
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Adapt to schedule changes and weather conditions
- Complete accurate daily logs and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Hawaii Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- School Bus Endorsement (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Child CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Clear background check and driving record
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and climb bus steps
- Fluent in English; Hawaiian language skills a plus
