Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight to designated locations in the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding regions.
- Inspect vehicles prior to and after shifts, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs immediately.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring all safety protocols and weight restrictions are met.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, including electronic logging devices (ELD) and paper logs, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients by handling delivery issues professionally and courteously.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving a Class A commercial vehicle.
- Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary endorsements (Hazmat/Tanker preferred but not required).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting purposes.
