Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport construction materials, aggregates, and waste
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Collaborate with site supervisors to coordinate loading/unloading operations and timelines
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and environmental regulations at all job sites
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
- Navigate diverse terrains and weather conditions while maintaining delivery schedules
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable dump truck or heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Familiarity with Virginia traffic laws and local delivery routes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Physical capability to climb equipment, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Excellent time management and communication skills
