Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport loose materials (dirt, gravel, asphalt, sand) to and from job sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and mechanical integrity.
- Load and unload materials efficiently, adhering to safety protocols to prevent damage to the truck or cargo.
- Navigate complex job sites and city routes in Wichita and surrounding areas with precision.
- Maintain a clean driving record and strictly follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding schedules and cargo status.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving dump trucks or heavy commercial vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of weight limits, road restrictions, and local traffic laws.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads and work in various weather conditions.
- Current DOT medical card.
