Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles in a safe and legal manner over established routes.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and all required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving cargo as required.
- Willingness to travel and operate out of Durham, NC.
