Responsibilities
- Operate 26-foot box trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently to local and regional destinations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and mileage for billing purposes.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and clients regarding schedules and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B is preferred; Class C with experience considered.
- Own or have reliable access to a 26' Box Truck in excellent mechanical condition.
- Clean driving record and verifiable work history.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and early mornings.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with the Newark, NJ area and surrounding regions.
