Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks for material transport (gravel, asphalt, soil) at construction sites and municipal facilities
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and pre/post-trip documentation
- Adapt routes using GPS technology for efficient delivery to multiple locations
- Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team via remote communication tools for real-time updates
- Assist with minor equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Support emergency response operations during inclement weather
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years' experience operating heavy commercial vehicles
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with DC metro area traffic patterns and construction zones
- Basic knowledge of DOT Hours of Service regulations
- Strong remote communication skills (phone, GPS, fleet management apps)
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
