Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages to residential and commercial locations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness/maintenance logs
- Utilize GPS technology for optimal route planning and real-time delivery updates
- Verify recipient identities and obtain proper signatures for high-value shipments
- Communicate professionally with dispatch team regarding delivery status and route challenges
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and traffic regulations during all operations
- Assist with sorting and loading packages at the distribution center before shift
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and maneuver packages of various sizes
- Strong time management skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient with smartphone apps and basic GPS navigation
- Reliable transportation to and from our Atlantic Avenue facility
- Ability to work independently in varied weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening (company policy)
