Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Enforce student conduct policies while maintaining a positive environment
- Maintain accurate route documentation and student records
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Report mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Excellent safety record and clean driving history
- Ability to work 7 AM - 9 AM and 2 PM - 4 PM shifts
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Background check clearance required
