Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict schedules
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and post-trip vehicle assessments
- Maintain orderly conduct and ensure student safety during transit
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Adhere to all NJ traffic laws and DOT regulations
- Assist students with mobility needs and emergency procedures
- Complete daily trip logs and incident reports accurately
Qualifications
- Valid NJ Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with P/S endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and assist students with mobility
- Fluent English communication skills
