Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety
- Monitor student behavior and maintain a positive, orderly bus environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school administrators, and dispatch
- Follow emergency procedures and maintain student safety during transit
- Complete accurate daily logs and incident reports as required
- Assist students with mobility needs and special accommodations
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years)
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work early morning and afternoon shifts
