Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals using temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for compliance with HIPAA and DOT regulations
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Adhere to strict safety protocols for handling hazardous materials
- Utilize GPS navigation to optimize delivery routes and minimize transit time
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and receiving facilities
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional medical training preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver medical equipment
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling and transportation standards
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Proficient in using mobile technology for route navigation and documentation
- Pass background check and drug screening as required by healthcare clients
- Previous courier or healthcare logistics experience a plus
