Responsibilities
- Securely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and lab equipment between hospitals, clinics, and testing facilities
- Maintain strict temperature control for time-sensitive shipments using specialized packaging
- Document all transfers with electronic tracking systems and maintain chain-of-custody records
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and biohazard safety standards
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals and maintain service level agreements
- Perform vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of medical transport units
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year medical courier or healthcare logistics experience
- OSHA bloodborne pathogen certification or willingness to obtain
- Proficiency with electronic tracking systems and mobile technology
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
