Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab results, and pharmaceuticals in climate-controlled vehicles
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized equipment
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols for patient data confidentiality
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for efficient pickup and delivery scheduling
- Complete detailed electronic documentation for each shipment
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintenance checks
- Provide exceptional customer service to hospital staff and patients
Qualifications
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1-year medical courier or healthcare logistics experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Proficiency in GPS navigation and electronic tracking systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for extended periods
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Background check and drug screening required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
