Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport medical specimens, lab samples, and pharmaceuticals to and from medical facilities.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, HIPAA regulations, and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior, ensuring it is ready for daily operations.
- Complete all required paperwork, including delivery logs and electronic proof of delivery (POD) forms, accurately and on time.
- Monitor vehicle fuel levels and perform basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and dispatch regarding delivery statuses.
- Ensure punctuality for all scheduled routes and pickups.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major traffic violations).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for using handheld delivery devices.
- Must be available to work early mornings or late nights as required by the healthcare schedule.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
