Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, pharmaceuticals, and organs using company-provided refrigerated/temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and chain-of-custody protocols for sensitive materials
- Utilize GPS tracking systems for real-time route optimization and delivery verification
- Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain detailed delivery logs using company tablets
- Provide exceptional customer service to hospitals, labs, and transplant centers across Virginia Beach
- Respond to urgent STAT deliveries with precision and urgency
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for route adjustments and priority shipments
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- OSHA bloodborne pathogens certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience handling time-sensitive medical specimens or pharmaceuticals preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Strong time management and navigation skills across Virginia Beach metro
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Background check and drug screening clearance required
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical logistics certification a plus
