Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, organs, and pharmaceuticals between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized equipment
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and chain-of-custody documentation procedures
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals
- Perform vehicle inspections and maintenance checks before/after each shift
- Communicate professionally with medical staff regarding delivery status
- Handle hazardous materials training and emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- OSHA bloodborne pathogen certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong time management with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Background check and drug screening required
