Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, documents, and pharmaceuticals between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized containers
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and maintain HIPAA compliance protocols
- Optimize daily routes using GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain clean, organized transport units
- Communicate proactively with medical facilities regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all OSHA, DOT, and healthcare transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year medical courier or healthcare logistics experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency with mobile delivery tracking systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Background check and drug screening clearance
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling procedures
