As a Medical Courier with MediTrans, you play a critical role in patient care. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, punctual, and committed to the highest standards of safety and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Safely and securely transport a variety of medical specimens, including blood, tissue, and pharmaceuticals, adhering to strict Chain of Custody protocols.
- Ensure all medical equipment is handled with extreme care and delivered to the correct medical facilities within the specified time windows.
- Complete and maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork, ensuring 100% compliance with regulatory standards (HIPAA, DOT, etc.).
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the provided company vehicle.
- Interact professionally and courteously with medical staff, lab technicians, and hospital personnel at drop-off points.
- Handle any immediate issues or delivery exceptions professionally and escalate them to management when necessary.
Qualifications
- A valid state-issued Driver’s License and a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report (MVR) evaluation.
- Strong sense of punctuality and time management; ability to follow a strict schedule.
- Physical ability to lift and carry medical supplies weighing up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for inputting delivery data into mobile devices.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends, as required by the medical industry.
