Responsibilities
- Transport sensitive medical specimens, patient records, and medical equipment safely and securely to various healthcare facilities.
- Adhere to strict time windows and delivery schedules to ensure laboratory results reach their destinations on time.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle at all times.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues before and after each shift to ensure safe operation.
- Complete accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation.
- Handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and dispatch regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (Class C) with a clean driving record (no DUIs in the last 3 years).
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong sense of direction and navigation skills (GPS provided).
- Reliable personal vehicle in good working condition.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
