Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, including blood samples, tissue samples, and lab materials, from healthcare facilities to processing centers.
- Adhere to strict chain-of-custody protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and specimen integrity.
- Utilize handheld scanners and GPS technology to track deliveries and ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional vehicle interior; perform routine vehicle safety checks.
- Interact professionally and courteously with hospital staff, doctors, and patients at drop-off points.
- Handle sensitive items with extreme care and report any incidents or damaged packages immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with smartphone GPS apps.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
