Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab samples, pharmaceuticals, and equipment to healthcare facilities
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized equipment
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and maintain chain-of-custody documentation
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely arrivals
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and maintain clean, sanitized transport units
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and receiving facilities
- Handle emergency medical deliveries with urgency and professionalism
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred
- Experience in medical transport, logistics, or healthcare support
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled containers
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Louisville metro area roadways and healthcare facilities
- Background check and drug screen required
- Basic computer literacy for documentation systems
