Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, blood products, and pharmaceuticals between healthcare facilities
- Maintain temperature-controlled environments for sensitive shipments
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and chain-of-custody forms
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard safety protocols
- Optimize routes using GPS technology for timely deliveries
- Perform vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch team
Qualifications
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Basic knowledge of medical handling procedures
- Proficient with smartphone apps and GPS navigation
- Pass background check and drug screening
