Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, and pharmaceuticals using temperature-controlled containers
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols for patient data protection
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and chain-of-custody documentation
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Coordinate with hospital staff for time-sensitive pickups/deliveries
- Implement emergency response procedures for temperature deviations
- Utilize GPS routing systems for optimal delivery efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience preferred
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Proficient with mobile technology and digital tracking systems
- Background check and drug screening required
