Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab results, and pharmaceutical products using temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking systems for all shipments
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and biohazard safety protocols during all transport procedures
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for pickup/delivery scheduling and priority handling
- Perform vehicle inspections and routine maintenance to ensure operational readiness
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and receiving facilities in real-time
- Resolve delivery discrepancies and coordinate alternative routes when needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical courier, logistics, or healthcare transportation
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and biohazard handling procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled equipment
- Strong time-management skills with ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and electronic delivery tracking systems
- Excellent communication skills and customer service demeanor
