Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, and diagnostic materials between healthcare facilities
- Maintain strict temperature control requirements for sensitive shipments
- Complete detailed documentation and chain-of-custody forms for each delivery
- Coordinate with hospital staff, labs, and clinics for efficient pickup/dropoff scheduling
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard safety protocols at all times
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and cleanliness standards
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for optimal routing and timely deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical/transportation experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver medical equipment safely
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling procedures
