Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for long-haul transportation across dedicated routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Accurately document mileage, fuel usage, and delivery paperwork
- Maintain constant communication with dispatch regarding route status and potential delays
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining exceptional customer service
- Proactively address mechanical issues and coordinate with maintenance teams
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of Virginia and regional highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
