Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy dump trucks to transport materials (sand, gravel, dirt, asphalt) to and from job sites.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any defects or issues immediately.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, front-end loaders, or hand tools as required.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, traffic laws, and company safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean driving record and communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors.
- Secure cargo properly to ensure safe transit and prevent spills or damage.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience operating dump trucks or heavy commercial vehicles.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations or DUIs in the last 5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy items and operating machinery.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
