Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport loose materials (gravel, dirt, asphalt) to and from job sites.
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe driving record while adhering to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting during transit.
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving dump trucks or heavy construction vehicles.
- Clear motor vehicle record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy items and work in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with basic truck maintenance and safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and hours as required by project schedules.
