Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) safely and efficiently on designated routes across the country.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Complete all necessary daily and weekly paperwork, including logs, delivery receipts, and inspection reports.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain a professional driving record and adhere to all DOT and company safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any route changes.
- Keep the cabin and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in OTR or regional trucking.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine vehicle checks.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours and travel long distances.
