Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities according to a fixed route.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment on the bus at all times.
- Manage student behavior and ensure all passengers follow safety rules.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, school policies, and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school administrators, and dispatch.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
- Clean driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
