Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight to designated delivery points.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying inventory as necessary.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve any delivery issues.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Previous experience in commercial truck driving is preferred but not required for top candidates.
- Strong knowledge of the Corpus Christi area and surrounding routes.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.
