Responsibilities
- Operate heavy dump trucks safely and efficiently across various construction sites and job locations in Austin.
- Load and unload materials, including soil, rock, gravel, and asphalt, using skid steers or forklifts.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean driving record and strictly adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, dispatchers, and crew members to ensure project efficiency.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting as needed to keep the truck in optimal condition.
- Uphold a professional image and safety-first culture at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B is required.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional dump truck driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of local Austin, TX roadways and construction zones.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when necessary.
