Responsibilities
- Delivery Operations: Load, secure, and deliver packages efficiently along assigned routes while adhering to time schedules.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, including residential and business deliveries, ensuring packages are placed as requested.
- Accuracy: Verify package information and ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately.
- Safety Compliance: Observe all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.
- Asset Protection: Protect company assets and inventory by following proper handling procedures.
Qualifications
- License Requirements: Must possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent commercial driving experience.
- Age: Must be at least 21 years old.
- Background: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading packages.
- Experience: Prior driving experience is preferred but not always required for direct hire positions.
- Skills: Strong time management skills, excellent navigation abilities, and a commitment to punctuality.
