As a Route Driver, you will be the face of our company, ensuring our customers receive their freight safely and on time.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on assigned delivery routes throughout the Buffalo area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and proper documentation of all freight.
- Update Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) accurately and in compliance with Hours of Service rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere strictly to all traffic laws.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety procedures, and traffic laws.
- Ability to read maps and navigate routes efficiently.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving packages up to 50 lbs.
