Responsibilities
- Secure Loads: Access load boards and negotiate freight rates to maximize your earning potential.
- Safe Operation: Operate box trucks and light-duty commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition.
- Documentation: Accurately complete bills of lading, delivery receipts, and daily logs (ELD) as required by FMCSA regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and dock personnel to ensure timely and damage-free deliveries.
- Route Planning: Plan the most efficient routes to save fuel and time, ensuring on-time delivery commitments.
Qualifications
- CDL License: Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Vehicle Ownership: You must own or have reliable access to a 26-foot Box Truck or similar commercial vehicle.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Owner Operator or professional truck driver.
- Financial Responsibility: Ability to manage fuel costs, insurance, and operational expenses independently.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to use a mobile dispatch app.
- Availability: Flexibility to meet dispatch requirements and meet delivery deadlines.
