Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following strict traffic laws and district policies
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality
- Maintain orderly conduct of students during transport
- Communicate professionally with parents, teachers, and dispatchers
- Adhere to precise schedules and routes in all weather conditions
- Complete daily trip logs and incident reports accurately
- Assist students with boarding/exiting and special needs accommodations
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement
- Clean driving record (no DUIs or reckless driving violations in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility-impaired students
- Strong communication skills and patience with children
- Commitment to punctuality and reliability
- Ability to work early morning/afternoon shifts
