Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport gravel, sand, asphalt, and demolition debris
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Navigate complex urban and construction site routes efficiently
- Coordinate with dispatch and site supervisors for timely deliveries
- Maintain clean vehicles and secure loads during transport
- Document delivery receipts and resolve minor discrepancies
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with airbrakes endorsement
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Newark/Northern NJ traffic patterns
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and time-management abilities
- Ability to lift 50lbs occasionally and work in varying weather conditions
