Responsibilities
- Drive the school bus along a predetermined route in a safe and timely manner.
- Pick up and drop off students at designated stops, ensuring they board and exit safely.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment, including restroom facilities.
- Monitor student behavior on the bus and enforce safety rules.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school administration, and dispatch regarding delays or issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement (P).
- A clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs within the last 7 years.
- Pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional afternoons.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to identify minor vehicle issues.
