Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, lab results, and pharmaceuticals between healthcare facilities while maintaining strict temperature control protocols
- Execute time-sensitive deliveries with GPS tracking and real-time communication updates
- Verify documentation and maintain HIPAA-compliant chain-of-custody logs for all medical materials
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintenance checks to ensure operational readiness
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare providers and patients during critical transport scenarios
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and biohazard handling procedures
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery routes and resolve logistical challenges
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record (no DUI/DWI within 5 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical transport certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in courier/delivery or healthcare logistics
- Proficiency in mobile technology and GPS navigation systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver through healthcare facilities
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional time management skills
- Pass background check and drug screening as required by healthcare regulations
