Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, and aggregates across Baton Rouge metro sites
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, pre-trip safety checks, and basic maintenance troubleshooting
- Load/unload materials at job sites while adhering to DOT and OSHA regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and digital documentation via fleet management software
- Collaborate with site supervisors and dispatch teams to optimize delivery schedules
- Implement defensive driving techniques in all weather and traffic conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year dump truck or heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks in outdoor environments
- Familiarity with Baton Rouge metro area routes and construction zones
- DOT medical certification and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Strong time management skills for flexible shift adherence
