Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight across North Carolina and surrounding states
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize route efficiency and delivery timelines
- Ensure proper cargo securement and temperature control for specialized freight
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup operations
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices and route navigation systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety excellence
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Must pass comprehensive background check and driving history review
- Previous experience with flatbed or refrigerated freight preferred
