Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for regional routes within Kansas and surrounding states
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Deliver freight on time while maintaining exceptional safety standards
- Communicate effectively with customers and dispatch team
- Document all delivery paperwork and maintain shipment records
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of HAZMAT regulations (certification preferred)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including weekends
- Basic proficiency with GPS and electronic logging systems
